About Lancaster, SC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in Lancaster County, South Carolina, the City of Lancaster is the county seat. It is located within the Charlotte, NC Metro Area, and as of 2010, the population had just exceeded 10,100 residents. However, due to the strict annexation laws in South Carolina, the population is actually over 20,000 people. Lancaster was named for the House of Lancaster, and it is home to the University of South Carolina at Lancaster. There are also six elementary schools, two middle schools, and one high school – Lancaster High – located in the city.

There are plenty of things to see and do in Lancaster. Andrew Jackson State Park is located in the community, and it offers a fishing pier, boating access, hiking and biking trails, and playground equipment.  Residents enjoy new release films at Crown Cinema, and specialty shops in the community include MO-Fish & Seafood Market and the Lancaster County Farmers Market. There are also destinations for visitors who are in need of some pampering, including Pink & White Nail Spa and Mid-Carolina Surgery, Vein, & Aesthetics.

The warm, humid subtropical climate of the region is one reason the area is growing in popularity, both for visitors and new residents. The summer months are long, hot and humid, with daytime highs reaching the low-90s, on average. Severe thunderstorms are a possibility, and to stay comfortable regardless of the outdoor conditions, residents need to have access to an energy efficient air conditioning system. These units will also improve indoor air quality, a great benefit for people with allergies.

The winter months in Lancaster are cool and mild, with average daily highs reaching the low-50s. However, overnight temperatures often fall below freezing, so climate controls are needed to prevent pipes and plumbing systems from freezing. In the South, residents have the option of choosing a furnace or a heat pump – a system that can both heat and cool a home – and an experienced HVAC technician can help homeowners to weigh the pros and cons of each option.
