About York, SC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

York, South Carolina is the county seat of York County, and as of 2010, about 7,800 people lived here. This city is located about 13 miles west of Rock Hill and 27 miles southwest of Charlotte, North Carolina. Also known as the “White Rose City,” York is situated in the western portion of the country, and with the rapid growth of the Charlotte, NC Metro Area, it is becoming a major economic, transportation, and urban hub of the Carolinas. The city is also located equidistant between the I-85 and I-77 corridors, providing visitors with convenient access to this growing city.

While there are a variety of major attractions located in nearby Charlotte, several prominent businesses also call York home. Fresh produce is available at the Windy Hill Orchard & Cider Mill, Bush N Vine Farm, or the Peach Tree Orchards, and golf enthusiasts may enjoy an afternoon at Spring Lake Country Club. There are also a variety of specialty hops located within the city limits, including Flowers Etc. of York, Yorkville Pharmacy, The Outdoor Shop, and Tender Hearts Thrift Store.

When traveling to or living in York, it is crucial that you are prepared for any conditions that Mother Nature decides to throw your way. Summer weather tends to be muggy and hot with average daily highs in the low 90s. If you are in need of a new air conditioning system, your local HVAC technician will help you to select an energy efficient option. Periodic maintenance is also a necessity to make sure the system works at optimal efficiency.

In the winter, cooler conditions will allow you to turn off your central air, but you’ll need a heat pump or furnace to stay comfortable. Overnight lows can fall well below the freezing point, and when this happens, the pipes within your home or business could be at risk of damage. Your home heating system will help you make it through the winter comfortably without the need for an expensive home repair.
